L' Etoile De Semaine

At Sophia's preschool, every child has the opportunity to be the "Etoile de Semaine" (translation: the Star of the Week). Each Etoile gets to be first in line, to help the teachers out, and to bring a show and tell item to share. They also get to create a "my family" page with a picture of said family, and "favorite things" sheet to share with their classmates.

But the most exciting thing is that being an Etoile means bringing home a Dora the Explorer or Deigo backpack. Sophia, true to form, brought home the Dora bag. In it were a couple of books, a DVD, a Dora doll and a photo album. In the album were pictures of some of the other kids with the Dora doll. It was a photo journal of Dora's travels. Sophia loved having the bag. It's a great way to make each kid special.
