Six Months

I am in a little bit of denial, but our little Jacob has crested the six month mark. Everyday he is doing a little more, and getting a bit bigger. At his vaccinations, he was weighing 13 pounds 8 ounces, and was 26 inches. Not huge, but definitely getting there. He is liking being on his belly more, and is even beginning to experiment with moving his legs up under him. It's actually a little scary to realize that very soon I will have TWO mobile children!

Jacob continues to love his bath and has discovered the joy of splashing! Now everyone gets wet. We hit the momentous occasion of having to purchase SIZE 2 diapers...I, personally, was getting tired to trying to remove poop from various pieces of clothing. It wasn't unheard of to have three outfit changes in a day! See, I do need all those clothes for him!

The noise level in the house has increased! Jacob has a voice, and enjoys using it. His expression is incredible. The best playthings are his feet, and the resulting play tends to elicit quite the stream of baby speak. Other neat things: moving toys from hand to hand; twisting toys in one hand and looking in wonder; continuing to encourage his sister's more questionable behaviors; and less stranger fear. He is generally a happy little guy, who sleeps well at night and wakes up with a big grin for us in the morning.

Our little charmer...

Honestly, who can deny a face like that!?

A little outside, Spring time fun. Check out those legs ---just itching to crawl.
