Shadowfax day

One of the requirements of any cottage stay is a sail on Shadowfax. This is the Gerhard family sailboat. Last year Jacob was a little small to be on the boat, so he and I missed out on the tradition. But this year we all braved the waters together. Actually, what usually happens to us is that the wind looks great just before we set sail and then once we get out to the open water, it dies down to nothing. True to form, the wind died right down. We kind of moved but i think the algae in the water was moving faster. We still managed to have a lovely lunch and cruise. I think the kids had a great time. Only Haley seemed not so taken with the whole thing.
